The drive chain was looking pretty vintage, so I’m replacing it.
Most of the wear parts were no longer usable at this point.

Safety and peace of mind are extremely important when riding a motorcycle.
Honestly, I basically only use DID for drive chains.
My experience data is pretty old so I can’t say for certain, but I think long-term trust is extremely important.

Especially DID drive chains have low friction and minimal initial stretch variance, which is why I prefer them.
When there’s a big difference in stretch during the initial adjustment after installing a new chain, it’s kind of disappointing, you know?
So this time I’m replacing it with a DID drive chain again.
*Of course, other manufacturers’ drive chains are also excellent! It’s simply a matter of preference. <\/p>\n\n\n\t\t

This time I’m just replacing the drive chain <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Since I haven’t ridden this motorcycle yet, I have no idea what the final ratio will be.
Based on experience, I think it’ll end up being a short ratio, so I went ahead and replaced just the sketchy drive chain for now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just replacing the drive chain made the rear wheel roll dramatically better.
With a chain that dirty and rusty, it’s only natural, but it’s a dramatic improvement.

Appearance is important, but how smoothly a bike rolls is really crucial, isn’t it?
I really think a bike that’s light to push with low friction feels amazing.
Of course, if the drive chain rolls smoothly, fuel efficiency and acceleration improve too.
Also, it reduces the jerky feeling when you turn the throttle on and off, so I recommend replacing it at regular intervals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Changing the sprocket tooth count to alter the gear ratio characteristics is fun.
Don’t overthink it\u2014just look at the gears you use most often
and think things like “I want more acceleration” or “I want to cruise at lower RPMs” <\/strong>and such.
Just changing the sprocket tooth count gives you a completely different feel, so definitely try it.
In my case, I usually go with a short ratio (acceleration-focused) setup. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parts sure do add up cost-wise~ <\/span><\/strong>That’s what I’ve been thinking lately… <\/p>\n\n\n\n
