It suddenly got cold and the humidity dropped dramatically, so everything feels a bit dry.

I’m making progress bit by bit, about 1-2 hours a day.
So this time, it’s the standard procedure when purchasing a used motorcycle – “Zero’s Trajectory” <\/strong> that is.
Basically, I reset the speedometer and odometer to zero.

You might think “Isn’t that meter tampering?!” but I’m not planning to sell it anyway,
so then wouldn’t replacing the meter be okay? That’s the thing.
With a classic bike this old, the mileage itself is completely unreliable anyway.
Surprisingly, resetting the meter to zero when you purchase it feels really good.

The voltmeter knob happened to be broken, so I’ll fix it <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The blue square in the middle of the image is the voltmeter knob.
By pressing it from the outside,
you can check the voltage on the voltmeter engraved on the tachometer dial – it’s quite an innovative meter, isn’t it?

This knob was kind of squishy and wouldn’t press straight.
The cause was that the guide on the meter panel side had lost its adhesive.
Once I re-glued the guide, it worked perfectly, so all is safe and sound.

Still, no matter where I take it apart, the bike is so clean that it feels kind of unsettling?
*I’m happy about it, but… it’s terrifying considering it’s been 30-40 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Analog meters are easy to reset, so if you get the chance, give it a try.
