Now let’s make the center stand stopper<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Making a center stand stopper is surprisingly tedious.
It springs back with quite a bit of force, so aftermarket stoppers tend to deform pretty easily.

I’m constantly amazed by how well the OEM design is engineered.

There are basically two approaches: stopping it at the base or stopping it at the foot like the original does.
If I could make a stopper at the base, it would be nice and simple,
but there’s no room to co-bolt it with the center stand bolt.
Plus, with the center stand spring in the middle, it’s difficult to build a frame structure.

So I decided to go with a method that won’t fail. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I pulled out the pipe bender after a long time and started bending stainless steel pipe.
It’s 22.2\u03c6 with a wall thickness of 2mm, so it’s got some serious thickness to it.

I’m still glad I bought this bender\u2014it can bend cold without any wrinkling.
If I tried to buy one now, I think the exchange rate would make it an insane price. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I bent it nice and smooth, and now I’m going to add some legs to it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Time passes… and suddenly it’s done! <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I made it so it wouldn’t fail, but it was still pretty tedious.
I cut threads into the plate side and used a plus-lock nut, so there’s no worry about the stopper coming loose. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the stopper rubber, I used the Suzuki OEM part that’s normally in stock. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I positioned the center stand higher than the Z 1 we have in the shop right now.
If you ever want to remove the stopper, you can easily take it off with just the bolt and nut.

Then I just attach the center stand spring and we’re all done! <\/p>\n\n\n\t\t
