Yeah, it’s really frustrating when consumable parts go out of print.
When a brake disc is discontinued, things get serious.

You really need to check consumable parts carefully before buying a motorcycle, or you’ll end up in trouble.
If OEM parts are discontinued and no replacement exists, you’re looking at hunting for used parts, having a custom disc made,
or replacing the whole wheel\u2014things escalate quickly.

Even if there’s an oversized disc with the same mounting dimensions,
you’ll also need calipers, caliper supports, brake hoses, and more.
Once it gets that complicated, before you know it
you’re swapping out the front fork (front end), and things just keep spiraling.
This is where THE custom mod rabbit hole begins.

Full custom\u2014in the end, all that’s left is the frame, engine, and bodywork…

That’s when EBC brake discs come to the rescue.
They support quite a few rare bikes, so I think EBC saves a lot of people <\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/a>\n\n\n\t\t

EBC’s stainless discs are DB 420 material <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are limited stainless materials that can be heat-treated and hardened for brake use.
Domestic and major manufacturers use different DB materials.
I’m writing about EBC here, but I’ve never actually used them myself. <\/span><\/strong>

Brake discs from the 1980s seem far inferior compared to those from 2000 onwards.
Maybe those old discs that didn’t feel great were DB420?
That would be a bit concerning, but…
Better than nothing? Don’t expect too much? You might as well give them a try. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basically, if you can get a brake disc from Sunstar, that’s the safest choice.
