Feel free to change the shift rubber whenever you feel like it.
Honda genuine parts are especially affordable, so it’s fine to stock up on plenty.

55 yen for a feeling upgrade? Honda 95011-40000 – Honda’s genuine parts pricing is the best.
I think it’s basically 8mm, so there should be compatibility in general.

This early-type generator produces a slightly high voltage, outputting around 14.5-14.8V.

The later type stabilizes around 14.2V, making it possible to use lithium batteries and such.
*I’d recommend being careful about using lithium batteries as-is on early models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’ll also check the starter motor while we have it off.
Lately, it’s pretty common for oil to leak from around the starter motor O-ring.
I want to take care of it properly while it’s off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The starter motor is body grounded, so we want to polish it well.
I don’t think there will be dramatic changes, but it’s still a good item to check.

When this wears out, it gets noisy and rattles.
