This is an end attachment that goes on Makita’s split motor series.
Tool-wise, it’s exactly what it looks like\u2014a hedge trimmer with wheels attached.

But it’s surprisingly innovative, and since you just roll it along while it’s running, it’s incredibly easy.
For light grass cutting where the vegetation isn’t too tall, I think this is a really effective tool.

The cutting width isn’t that wide, so don’t expect too much.
It’s difficult to use this tool for cutting densely overgrown grass.

I think it works best on soft weeds about knee-high.
You just turn on the power, activate the grass cutter, and roll it over the weeds.

Unlike a typical rotating grass cutter, I think the fatigue level is lower.
If you want to casually cut grass without too much effort, this might be a good tool for you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the split motor system, 40V is definitely the best.
Depending on your needs, I think you’ll rarely regret it.

You’ll be able to experience battery life and power and torque that are incomparable to the 18V.
It’s mid-September and still so hot.
Soon the grass will lose its vigor and we’ll enter a nice season for easier grass cutting.
