The other day, I got my hands on Oregon’s Terra Max nylon cord.
I used it to trim grass in areas with lots of concrete and around grating.

The cutting feel wasn’t so much a snipping sensation as it was like striking and cutting with a whip.
It seems quite effective for parking lots and around concrete walls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

At first glance, it looks just like electrical wire.
From its appearance alone, I got the impression it would strike and cut rather than snip.
The surface has decent tension and feels smooth.
I thought, could it even cut through electrical wire?

This is the Oregon Flexible Blade I usually use.
From its appearance with all those teeth, expectations are very high that it will cut well.

In reality, it has quite high combat power and strikes and crushes things like a hammer.
However, around parking lots and concrete walls, wear is severe and it disappears in no time.
When using this, it’s best to use it in places where grass is densely packed. <\/p>\n\n\n\t\t

From their appearance, you can imagine they have different personalities.
The feel when you touch them is completely different too, and this Terra Max gives the impression of being firm yet flexible.
I thought it was truly a love’s whip. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a good tool, you can trim grass quickly and easily, which makes it fun.
Lately, I’ve been thinking that grass trimming might actually have become one of my hobbies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quite impressive performance.
It’s a love’s whip for weeds, striking and crushing them while cutting them away easily.

Of course, if you intentionally hit hard surfaces, the cord will wear down.
If you use it with awareness, it will last longer.
And it doesn’t break, so the durability is very high. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I didn’t work too hard here, but it showed quite good performance.

It curled up after use, but it hasn’t worn down much.
If I had used the Flexible Blade for this location and distance, I would have needed to replace the nylon cord several times. Overall, I felt very satisfied with this cord.
For grass trimming work in parking lots or near concrete, it cuts well and has high durability.

One thing that bothered me <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When you try to pull out the nylon cord, the head part usually gets too short and won’t come out.
Especially with this Terra Max, because the cord itself is soft, it won’t come out even if you push.
If you disassemble it, it should come right off, but that’s a bit of a hassle.
In the upper right image, there’s a silver part on the ratchet section that holds the cord\u2014if you press it down with a thin minus screwdriver or a hard rod, you can pull the cord out smoothly.

If you think cord replacement is a pain, try this once.
You should be able to swap it out smoothly.
Next, I want to test another type of nylon cord that’s currently in short supply. <\/p>\n\n\n
