So I switched my Makita split motor from 18V to 40Vmax.
I won’t use 18V anymore….
The 18V isn’t as light as you’d think and lacks power and torque <\/span><\/strong>*Of course, that’s compared to 40Vmax…

Actually, the 40Vmax compared to 18V is “neither heavier nor larger” <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The motor section is just a bit bulkier, and there’s no major difference in size. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.3kg is quite a bit of weight. <\/span><\/strong>

However, because the rear is heavier, it’s easier to balance with the weight of the attachment section <\/span><\/strong>I feel.
Especially when using trimmer attachments, the balance is much better than 18V <\/strong>it seems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you use it, the difference is very significant, or rather it’s something you can’t do without <\/span><\/strong>

When vines or discarded rope-like things get tangled, reverse rotation is very <\/span><\/strong>convenient. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had the 18V, so I thought I’d make do with it! But

Battery changes are frequent
Can’t apply much load (if you push it, it stops\/you run into situations where it won’t cut or trim) <\/strong>

This was subtly stressful (*\u00b4\u03c9\uff40*)
