When wiring gets messy like this you just go “ugh” <\/span><\/strong> don’t you?
The best approach is to keep things as simple as possible and make connectors that can be easily attached and detached without overthinking it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The harness tape adhesive is completely gone <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When you touch it, the tape just crumbles and peels off.
That’s just how it is when it’s this old. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a brown wire left over inside the original? harness…
I cut it out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I strip away the tape in any areas that are difficult to route.
With modern materials, you get all three: resistance to chafing, flexibility, and great looks!
I wish reproduction harnesses would look more like foreign bikes too~ <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Braided tubing that you can thread wires through after the fact is truly the best.
I barely use regular braided tubing anymore…

I’m the type who doesn’t want to bundle up and hide unnecessary wire lengths (*\u00b4\u03c9\uff40*). <\/span><\/strong>

It’s fine… I just have to do this 20-40 times…
It’s super tedious, but the layout should end up simpler… hopefully.
