Smart Monitor? Smart Display? <\/span><\/strong>
I’d be happy if the naming became standardized… that’s how I feel.

So the other day I installed it on my GSX1100S and finally got to test ride it (*\u00b4\u03c9\uff40*)
I haven’t configured the settings, but I could definitely feel the visibility and vibration.

Power supply is essential! You can’t use it standalone. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The unit itself has no battery.
You need to connect it to “vehicle power cable or smartphone.” <\/span><\/strong>

Well, I’m not sure if there’s really a need to use it standalone anyway… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s a TYPE-C port on the side of the unit. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fixing bolts on the back are built-in so they won’t fall off. <\/strong>
Loosen these <\/span><\/strong>and pull the lever on the top and the monitor pops right off. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Very easy to attach and detach = high risk of theft if you don’t remove it <\/span><\/strong>
This balance is tricky… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The actual size is about the same as a rear mirror (GSX1100S) <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It’s about the same size as a Katana rear mirror.
Palm-sized, <\/span><\/strong>you could say. Well, it’s easy to see. Very much so.

With a smartphone, “Hmm, what?” <\/span><\/strong>You should have less time loss from staring intently like that. <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Left side is better for the monitor (subjective opinion) or right side <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Front installation = hard to see the meter \/ hard to remove the key \/ need to move your eyes up and down. <\/strong>
Left\/right installation = nothing particularly obstructive \/ you can view it like you’re checking a mirror. <\/strong>

With left\/right checking, you can faintly see forward too. <\/strong>
Up and down is a bit tough.
You can see it as an extension of checking the mirror, <\/strong>so left\/right mounting seems better <\/strong>for the unit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Easy to see – install it where you want it <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For this type of item, “ease of attachment\/detachment, visibility, and flexibility are key.” <\/span><\/strong>
If any of these are lacking, it becomes a hassle in no time.

Even if it takes time and effort, install it in the position where you think “I want it here!” <\/span><\/strong>That’s the best approach.
The included accessories might have limitations.
On installation day, do the power supply work first, <\/strong>then think carefully about the placement. I think that’s the way to go.

Since it’s not mine, I haven’t synced it with a smartphone… <\/span><\/strong>
