From what I remember,
the “GSX-R1100K\/L face was unpopular” <\/strong>or so it seemed… (though my memory is fuzzy and this is just my take)

Time has passed
and now the “neo-classic boom” <\/strong>is hot. Round dual headlights with 17-inch wheels are pretty cool, right?
I’m probably just “making wild guesses” <\/strong>

My recommendation is to put the early model face <\/strong>on the 1100K-N, and with just the upper cowl you get that early model vibe\u2014it’s nice.

Now let’s get to work quickly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Okada Projects Plasma Booster (MSA) <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I basically love ignition items <\/strong>and install them on all my personal vehicles. <\/strong>
It’s also compatible with Wotani <\/strong>.

Rather than a generic MSA, it’s <\/strong>developed with vehicle-specific settings, so it’s “easier to feel the difference” <\/strong>I think.
That said, it’s not a “dramatic improvement” <\/strong>. Don’t expect too much. <\/strong>

For me personally, “improved starting,” “smooth feel,” “safe design that reverts to normal ignition if it breaks,” “compact size,” and “dedicated MSA” <\/strong>
\u2014that’s why I love using it.


Even on the FI bike I thought would never feel a difference, the CB1100 SC65, <\/strong>I do feel “hmm… smoother.” <\/strong>After installation, that state feels so
“normal” that when you compare with and without, <\/strong>it seems more refined. <\/strong>


If I have no issues or complaints with the ignition system, I basically run stock plus minor upgrades. <\/strong>
The stock igniter is a consumable, but since it’s DENSO, the durability is incredible. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The price has quite a punch, so please be aware. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you install it yourself it’s fine, but if you have a shop do it, labor costs add up.
*Only the Inazuma 1200 has a different setting, but if you do ignition tuning or limiter cuts, the same product below should work fine. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Igniter \u2192 installed on the coil side. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you install it on the ignition coil side as the manual says, <\/strong>the wiring gets “messy.” <\/strong>To make it look as unmodified as possible, I install it on the igniter side.

*Always check the wiring diagram to make sure there are no errors. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve made it into a connector at an easy-to-access location. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The reason I do this is because it’s
“hard to feel the difference,” <\/strong>so I want you to “experience it.” <\/strong>
By plugging and unplugging it, you should be able to feel the difference. <\/strong>

Please try connecting and disconnecting the connector to feel it. *Though I bet you’ll only do it once… <\/strong>

The wiring is simple (*\u00b4\u03c9\uff40*) Just one ground and two signal wires. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As I mentioned above, even if it fails, it just reverts to normal ignition. <\/strong>
Though I’ve never seen one fail… Additional ignition systems are a bit scary… <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Checking operation with a simple oscilloscope gives peace of mind. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Is it working? Is it not working? <\/strong>That’s the question with ignition systems. <\/strong>
But with an oscilloscope you can confirm for sure. <\/strong>
Modern tools are super compact and affordable…
Honestly, something like this is enough for us, though I do have a proper one but it’s a pain to pull out…
This oscilloscope also has a multimeter function, so I think it’s worth having one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
