Last time was almost a year ago… this is rough.
I’ve managed to solve various issues. Probably.

I got a parts-donor VM carb too, and we’re moving forward with “acceleration pump equipped” ~<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

This acceleration pump lever base cracked… what do I do?
No acceleration pump? \u2192 It’d be smarter to swap the float chamber to a non-pump version.
But aren’t there a lot of VM carb types? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This base is available as a standalone part… but naturally it’s discontinued, so it’s tough going.
Ideally, if I could get a used one with the acceleration pump… that’s the situation.

I thought it was a VM28SS? But it’s 26\u03c6…. hmm.
With acceleration pump\/PS equipped\/AS not equipped… I don’t even feel like researching anymore.

I’ll do a wet cleaning and then we’re ready to use it.

It’s the “actual fuel level” not the float height… sophisticated (*\u00b4\u03c9\uff40*) <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The stock VM carb is somewhat tedious to disassemble <\/strong>so I only checked the top and bottom, which was a mistake. <\/strong>
Maintenance isn’t something you can take lightly <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fuel passage is also discontinued… I’m stuck <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

PMC has released a replacement part, and I’ve ordered that one.
Even if the replacement says it’s for Z1000MK2, I’m worried until I measure it.

There’s a possibility it’s no longer original, or it might differ depending on the production location.
Vintage bikes and custom bikes have lots of mysteries, so caution is needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let me cheer up and try a temporary assembly of the stock muffler <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I polished it with chrome polish and it still shines so much… I felt a bit wistful about it.
I feel like some parts are missing, but I just keep looking… and looking.
