Regarding the rear brake switch spring possibly being too short
I recall this type works well when the return spring is fixed underneath.
This clears the issue (*\u00b4\u03c9\uff40*) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stock cord has already developed shape memory.
Well, it’s been in use for nearly 40 years now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Labeling the coils makes future work much easier (*\u00b4\u03c9\uff40*)
We often remove the coils when taking off the head cover.
Rather than marking with a marker each time, having proper labels is easier and cleaner.

Back in the day I “Tepura” <\/strong>label makers, but when removed, the “color residue” <\/strong>and “weakness to chemicals\/solvents” <\/strong>
After researching various options, I settled on the Brother P-TOUCH.
I’ve shown this on YouTube before, but “acetone” <\/strong>doesn’t erase the text…
It’s amazing… really…

If you’re unsure, P-TOUCH is the way to go. By the way, I use it all the time, so it’s the 9mm width.
If I were buying new, I’d go with the PT-P710BT. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just a heads up – ignition coils have polarity, so please be careful (it’ll fire even reversed, but…)
We’re changing the mounting bolts to flanged (iron) ones. The positive side is generally less efficient. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Screwing the cap onto the stock plug cord is extremely tedious, and “Is it in?” <\/strong>I’d say there’s a 100% chance of doubt…
Let me share my method for making it easier and more reliable to insert.

Using something like a drill bit, aim for the center conductor of the cord and “pierce it!” <\/strong>This creates a pilot hole, making threading much easier.
Next, check the depth on the plug cap side.
Knowing how far to thread it in by “numbers” <\/strong>makes it reliable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s not that loud, so as long as it’s in reasonably far, it’s OK <\/strong>.
If you think about it, we’ve been threading without any standard before, so “that’s quite an improvement” <\/strong>?

If you don’t stop threading at some point, “the cord side becomes loose” <\/strong>so please be careful <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is how we laid out the spark plug cord.
Subtle attention to detail Cords 1 and 4 \/ Cords 2 and 3 can be swapped <\/strong>and we’re aiming for clean routing.
If the spark plug cords are made “too short” <\/strong>then “recovery becomes impossible” <\/strong>so we want some slack.

The numbering is of course done with P-TOUCH.
And just my personal opinion, but “numbering that clamps the cord” <\/a><\/strong>I’d prefer if you… didn’t do that
There’s a non-zero chance of it coming off.
For people who have this installed, “remove it once, mark with marker, then reinstall after work” <\/strong>
Personally, I’m too nervous to remove the plugs…
If you can take responsibility yourself, it’s OK! Our shop says no though~ <\/p>\n\n\n\n
