This retrospective blog is “In the blink of an eye, June 2023”<\/strong>.
Year after year, the flow of repairs and maintenance has changed quite a bit.

In the old days, you’d look up part numbers in a parts list <\/strong>, and if you were quick, the parts would arrive the next day, or at the latest in two to three days <\/strong>, and you’d get started.
These days it’s not so simple.
Even a single throttle cable or one O-ring often can’t be sourced anymore. <\/strong>
The motorcycles themselves are getting older and older, and we’ve entered a world where we can’t work at the same pace or in the same way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Dash cam installations continue as usual. I can feel the high awareness of riders thinking about the risks of riding.
Not just safety, but also enjoying the riding footage afterward! I think that’s a great way to use it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve noticed more people buying additional bikes because they want to own and ride that particular machine from back then!
More bikes = more customers <\/strong>\u2014that’s the flow. Maybe this is where one of the motorcycle industry’s mysteries lies.

I don’t have all the OEM parts cross-references in my head either.
Sometimes I think “Oh, I don’t remember that part number,” search for it, and end up on my own blog.

If you find useful information, share it well and put it to good use.

When I featured M-TECH <\/a><\/strong>, who makes reproduction oil-cooled parts,
it’s really helpful news for oil-cooled fans.

Honestly, in terms of surviving bikes, they don’t come close to Kawasaki.
The base numbers are different to begin with, and Suzuki’s oil-cooled bikes, in comparison, are “fewer in number = limited sales potential <\/strong>“
\u2014that’s why reproduction parts are hard to come by.

It’s a fortunate situation that they’re tackling things in this way.
I understand buying only when needed, but “working backward from your riding time and distance to stock parts” <\/strong>
\u2014if owners themselves keep this mindset and stay committed, that would be great. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
