Switched to APRACING CP2195<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We can give it just a slight edge over the CP2696
The CP2195 is really nice.

Light, compact, everything is compatible with the 2696<\/strong>
Very good indeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AP has poor operation, needs disassembly<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The piston operation is surprisingly stiff!
Even when disassembled and pressurized with air, it’s hard to get it to move

When you disassemble it fresh and reassemble it
“Wait, is this Brembo?”<\/strong>
That’s an exaggeration, but it improves quite a bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Struggling with the stiffness of APRACING caliper seals

Finally figured out the secret method.
*Don’t over-rely on this.

Soak the removed new sealin fluid.<\/strong>
About 30 minutes is enough.
In a nicely moistened state<\/strong>install it on the caliper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spray CCI metal rubber on the seal
Spray it on the piston too
Stretch the metal rubber and fit it…
“Pop!”<\/strong>

Compared to just fluid or just metal rubber
The combination seems to go in more smoothly.<\/strong>

Since I don’t disassemble AP that frequently
take this as a reference only<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and that’s what makes it good~
It’s round and squishy, really nice

These AP RACING types have terrible bleeder positioning
so positioning it to allow air to escape as much as possible
makes the work faster.

If you position it so air can escape upward and vacuum bleed
it’s efficient and quick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Actually, CP2195 doesn’t come as a left single unit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When you buy the front and rear set, you get 2 right units and 1 left unit
If the caliper is on the bottom, I wish I had one more left<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It becomes a right unit so the hose exit position is bad
Got approval for center machining
so we’ll proceed with a clean layout.
