Mid-displacement requires a lot of wrist twist! <\/p>\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

You shift a lot, and compared to big bikes,
the throttle
“won’t run unless you open it wide,”
which I found

subtly annoying on mid-displacement bikes.

Larger throttle sleeve outer diameter =
more cable wound up = high throttle
This should make things a bit easier, right? <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

It increases the winding diameter to approximately 36.5
\u03c6 <\/p>

The larger this outer diameter,
the more “high throttle” it becomes.
With a high throttle, the throttle feels a bit
heavier… but

since it’s the stock vacuum carb,
it doesn’t feel that heavy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The throttle cable inner length is important! <\/p>\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

Reset all the throttle cable play adjustment,
then install it.

“Confirm that the play is taken up.” <\/strong>

Thankfully,
the inner length had plenty <\/strong> of room. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m
the type who doesn’t use adhesive <\/p>

Using adhesive makes removal
“a pain,”
and it often doesn’t hold securely.
Next time for grip replacement, I’ll clean first,

and I solve

This is the thinnest and leaves the least residue.
Once applied, you can replace the grip <\/strong>
repeatedly.

Of course, the tape does make the grip
slightly thicker, but it’s <\/strong>
