From experience, around 14.2V is safe<\/p>

The image shows a failed regulator.
Overcharging caused the MF battery to
vent dilute sulfuric acid.

Proper voltage is essential.
Even more so with lithium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

disconnect the battery terminal.<\/p>

Seriously,
it goes “pop!”<\/strong>so be careful.

It’s surprisingly easy.<\/p>\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

Remove the sprocket cover too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I marked them with light blue marker.
Remove five bolts and you’re done.<\/p>

The brushes have a slight quirk during installation,
but it’s not too bad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

car version, you’d be a hero!
Though I doubt it would be surprisingly cheap…

The replacement is quite easy.
If you plan to keep riding long-term,
it’s absolutely essential to do this.
