The more you age, the more you appreciate its qualities
Good low-end torque
Decent revving
Low-to-mid range performance and quietness
The durability is outstanding.

Plus this STD muffler is quite
well-designed and looks cool

I don’t like touching dirty parts
so I wet-blasted it \u266a

I ended up using this stock one
but I should have used a “split flange”

First, it’s too thick to install
No matter how carefully you do it
the paint gets… a little bit
Next time I repaint, I’ll use “split” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I stretched it forcefully
and installed it.

The fit between the exhaust pipe and oil pan is good! <\/p>\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

The most important thing is cylinder pitch
If that’s the same
any exhaust pipe will fit.

However
flange pitch
gasket diameter
oil pan contact
and other things need attention.

At minimum
the tail pipe needs modification
or it obviously won’t work.
It’s all about modifications. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The muffler bracket position is completely different <\/p>\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n

In such cases
“No way, absolutely not, brute force”
Don’t forcefully lift it up and tighten it. It will definitely crack. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cut it and re-weld it to remake it <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because it’s a Yoshimura with the same insertion diameter, there’s play <\/p>
