Older bikes have fewer harnesses,
so peeling them off is quick.
Easy!


Harness replacement work
If it’s just a straight swap, two to three hours is plenty
and we’ll finish with time to spare.
That’s the truth. If it’s just replacement, that is.

But
when you factor in layout and length changes,
connector shapes and future work,
it becomes incredibly time-consuming. <\/p>\n\n\n

New harness has stiffness,
so you pull it firmly!

Even with the same 110 terminals,
the sizes differ.
*No operational issues.

Since we want to make sure they don’t come loose,
we’ll swap in connectors with locks.

I hate the Z’s waterproof covers.

I cut them all off.
Since the connector colors bother me,
I use mesh covers for a clean look.

As for connector cover issues,
insertion feel is weak,
you can’t see what you’re doing,
and disconnection efficiency is poor.

By the way, I’ve never seen
any other bike with covers on
both male and female connectors…
In a way, it’s luxurious? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
