The upper and lower stem area has severe corrosion, so I have the urge to clean it up.

You could use a chisel to remove it, but I’d prefer not to be rough…
I’ll use a Kawasaki OEM puller with a nice shape to pull it out.

By the way, manufacturer OEM special tools are amazing.
They’re hardened and robust, and they’re worth the price. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since it’s a tapered roller, remove the guide and roller
and hook it on the upper step.
