I don’t see them much these days, so I don’t worry about it, but
back in the day, even engine covers had Phillips heads…

Using a through driver<\/strong>anda hammer<\/strong>to give it a good whack!
It loosens more easily and the driver tip
gets driven in deeper for a synergistic effect\u25ce

We’re already in the 21st century.
I want to proceed with work
without damaging the other part.

The task of removing screws beingharder than the actual work you should be doing<\/strong>

Phillips head – sizes 2 and 3 are mainly used(*\u00b4\u03c9\uff40*)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As the number gets larger,the Phillips head gets bigger<\/strong>.
For bikes,
normal = size 2, large = size 3
This pretty much covers everything, so don’t worry.
*Except for the occasional odd one

When loosening Phillips heads,
you need to push while turning<\/strong>
Otherwise, due to the shape, the headcan slip and strip easily<\/strong>
You always need to be careful – it’s a troublesome screw. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A shock driver damages the other part<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Well, if it comes out with a shock driver,
it’s likely already stripped or stripping<\/strong>high probability

Proceeding without using it as much as possible is more efficient.
Just one screw that won’t loosen
causes time loss and potential damage<\/strong>as secondary damage

Stripping or nearly stripping a screw isthe fault of the person loosening it<\/strong>
If you prepare properly, it’s basically hard to happen.

If you can stop when you think “oh, it might not loosen,”<\/strong>
you’re fine, but people who use brute force will do it.


As you can see from the image,we hammer away with a hammer<\/strong>
Is the old cast aluminum part okay?
There’s a possibility of secondary damage like the part crumbling…
Basically the same class of tool as an extractor
I think gentler maintenance is possible if you don’t use it regularly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even if you drill it out, the position makes it hard to work on
This is exactly the kind of spot where you should work safely.

Just one bolt or screw that won’t come out causes a lot of extra work.
Stripping a screw isa little bit of carelessness<\/strong>
that causes it to happen.
You need to always think carefully as you proceed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bar ends are also incredibly useful. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bar ends are always removed withthe Makita impact drill<\/strong>.

There are many that are seized, but structurally problematic
like well nuts withan expanding rubber structure<\/strong>

Recently they’ve finally become less common, but with hand work
the tightening and loosening feel and action<\/strong><\/em>is poor and
they often won’t loosen at all (spinning together).
However,
with the Makita impact drill<\/strong>it’s instant.
There’s almost never a case where it won’t come out.
Wasted effort is drastically reduced. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
