The GSF1200 has really become rare, hasn’t it? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lately, the Inazuma 1200 is becoming a major force at our shop…
It’s honestly quite unsettling. There seem to be a lot of Katana-faced bikes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I got the inspection done before the holiday break, so let me finish this work quickly! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The clutch was slipping oddly, so
we’ll do an FCC clutch replacement\u2014everyone’s favorite! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since it was slipping and not being forced to work,
there was no burning damage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clutches do wear out, don’t they?
Larger bikes actually don’t wear them down much. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Whether it’s because slip-and-clutch operation is used less or the technique is just good, I’m not sure,
but dimensionally it hasn’t worn much. *According to our shop’s findings
So why is it slipping?
My guess is friction plate deterioration.

Soaked in oil for 10, 20 years,
it often reaches 100 degrees.
Then it cools back down to room temperature, then heats up again.

With this repetition, it stops <\/strong>“gripping” <\/p>and that’s what I think happens.\n\n\n\n

At this age, things don’t deteriorate much, but
the plates settle into the grooves and get “released” <\/strong>or “pressed” <\/strong>against them.

We should also check for step wear on the hub side. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gears look so mechanical and cool (\u00b4\u30fc\uff40) <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Anyway,
the gear with the round holes in the image
drives the “oil pump” <\/strong>and “generator.” <\/strong>

If this loosens up, it becomes “super loud.” <\/strong>
It’s good to check this during disassembly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don’t use the thin nuts from the early models. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Replace them with the later nuts that are slightly thicker.
Since the thickness increases and the grip gets worse, think it through carefully. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the end,
this is the easiest and lowest-risk holding tool. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Previously I used one that hooked onto the frame,
but if it flew off, that would be bad, <\/strong>
so I was always nervous during work.

With this one, there’s no way it can fly off, and it’s “usable on anything,” <\/strong>so it’s convenient.
Versatility is important (*\u00b4\u03c9\uff40*) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s good to always touch and feel whether something is in good or bad condition.

Soak it in oil, assemble, and we’re done.
