Removing the fairings on modern FI bikes is quite a hassle.
I wonder why it has to be so difficult to remove every time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I start by watching my own fairing removal video and working hard to get the fairings off. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve somehow managed to get this far.

I protect the throttle body to minimize worries.
Before assembly, it’s essential to check with a light. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No. 1 is slightly different in color, but that’s not really a concern.
No carbon buildup at all\u2014modern bikes are amazing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This time I’m using MOTO DX to help it last even longer.

Silicone grease is ideal because it doesn’t damage rubber. I personally prefer DuPont.

The inside of the cowl is incredibly dirty. And there’s so much sand… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you leave the inside of the cowl untouched like this, it becomes clean in no time.
Basically, I “hate getting my hands dirty,” <\/strong>so I end up cleaning it anyway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I store bolts and screws separately by location.
With this many pieces, “I might have extras left over” <\/strong>is a possibility.
