The assembly takes longer than the machining… quite the dilemma.
Someone asked me, “Wait, you’re doing this with a circular saw? Isn’t that a pain?”

A 1\/4-inch bit interchangeable type is the most practical and easy to use.

Even during oil changes when it’s “hot hot,” you can convert to 3\/8 and just loosen it.
Let’s work smart and efficiently with a bit of ingenuity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I use is“CARBCLIK90”<\/a><\/strong>but it seems hard to get?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The oil-cooled version doesn’t need to be straddled even if the cam chain drops, so we don’t hang it.

We’re replacing the cam chain slider (front).
The rear can’t be replaced without splitting the case…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has metal inside so it doesn’t matter, but it’s already rock hard and full of cracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even if we do a full engine overhaul down to the lower end, if sliders and cam chains (high-lift) are discontinued, we have to reuse them… this is the reality that we can’t do a thorough overhaul like we used to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For its era, this is a well-designed cam chain tensioner.

It’s automatic, but sometimes it won’t push.
In those cases, if you push from the back“Click”<\/strong>you can adjust it too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’ve adjusted the valve timing to match Yoshimura’s settings and we’re done.
We made a mistake ordering the head cover gasket, so we can’t put the cover on yet…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
