It looks like it’s got pretty high expectations.
I prefer sintered pads myself, so I use Daytona, but I think the cast-iron option is quietly excellent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first bleed won’t retract by hand at all…

Only after multiple cycles does it finally settle in.

I want the disc to engage the pad smoothly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I won’t head north for the test ride\u2014it’s definitely dangerous, so I’m staying away.
I wondered how the Isumi area was doing, so I went to check… “All normal” <\/span><\/strong>

The linear rain band must have moved up locally from Mobara through Oami.
Our area didn’t have any issues either…
But it could happen to us tomorrow. <\/span><\/strong>
Thinking about how similar rainfall could cause disasters anywhere makes me a bit anxious.

I found myself thinking about flood prevention measures again today.
Structurally, neither the shop nor my home should flood, but it’s too late once it happens.
Well, it looks pretty solid, so I’ll report back later.
I ditched the flood barrier\u2014it was too much of a hassle. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyway, the front brake now locks up\u2014finally got it working right.
Now I can ride with confidence.
Even though it’s someone else’s bike… the GS1000 is really a great machine.
It’s got a completely different feel from the Z\u2014you can really tell it’s the later design!
