We got this from a famous shop in Atsugi (*\u00b4\u0437`)<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A Suzuki-specific single-adjustment piece converted to double\u2014a gem that only technicians appreciate.
It’s a pretty niche product.

By converting to double,<\/strong>steering adjustment becomes incredibly easy.
And<\/strong>the good condition lasts much longer because there’s minimal loosening or change even after many miles.
You can apply a bit more preload, and the top nut tightening has less influence.
Double configuration allows adjustments that wouldn’t otherwise be possible.

Yamaha floats theirs with rubber, Honda has positioning,<\/strong>and even with double setups, each maker has their own philosophy. *I don’t know about Kawasaki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But this one’s missing the raised part…
We’re interpreting it as a design that says make it this size, or adjust it as needed, so we’ll fabricate it in color.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steering work always makes me nervous.
The bike<\/strong>not tipping over<\/p>\u2014I’m always at maximum tension about that.\n\n\n\n

This is kind of beside the point, but…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You should reduce the number of parts in blind spots (hidden areas).
<\/strong>Nut\/lock washer\/washer
configuration.If you<\/strong>don’t particularly care about twisting,<\/strong>flanged nuts are the standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh,<\/strong>lock washers are basically ineffective,<\/p>so I’d say it’s better not to use them.\n\n\n\n

The steering bearings are in good condition, so we’ll reuse them and proceed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We removed all the old grease, packed it with Newtech NC100, and assembled it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Repurposed custom work. You can really feel how much effort goes into it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We insert the spacer we made earlier to free up the dust seal while allowing the bearing to be pressed\u2014that’s the idea.

This way it gets a bit of a factory-like feel, doesn’t it?
For those who want a subtle tune-up, I’d recommend it. The vagueness in steering adjustment drops dramatically.
