The caliper condition looks fine.
The pistons are aluminum, so that’s reassuring. The old caliper’s “dust boots” are really something special when you think about it. The pistons stay remarkably clean\u2014that’s excellent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I cleaned the chain thoroughly and applied lubricant.
When you touch the chain with your hand, you can really feel the “wear condition” <\/strong>very well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I removed the lever area and cleaned and lubricated it.
Depending on the lever, some can work with “loose tightening.” <\/strong>

A bit pricey? Lubricant “Tri-Flow” <\/strong>\u2014we love this stuff at our shop. <\/a>
It’s pretty rare to find something with PTFE (fluorine) in it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From my impression, “it penetrates very easily and becomes smooth with minimal amount” <\/strong>is what I feel.
A little squirt makes it smooth and lasts well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
