Pilot holes are fine, but with M5 and larger, the material can strip and crack.
In those cases, you can rotate in reverse and carefully cut\/enlarge the hole for safer work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

so I’ll go ahead and cut threads into the swingarm.
Which way should the threads be perpendicular to?

Full-fairing bikes can look pretty rough when photographed from the side or at an angle, so be careful.

This is a product issue. It needs to be slightly stretched to install, which is probably the cause.
However, I’ve managed to avoid tire contact, so I’ll call it good. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
