DVD players sold in each region classified by this code are designed to play only DVD software that corresponds to that region&#8217;s regional code. <br>For example, Japan belongs to region 2. <br>DVD software made in Japan has a signal indicating regional code 2 written to it. <br>On the other hand, DVD players generally sold in Japan are designed to play only software with regional code 2 signals written to them.
