The 1.5mm shim arrived, so I’ll remove the swingarm… again?
It probably won’t make much difference, but you know what they say\u2014it’s all in the mind, mind over matter\u2014so I’ll swap it out and feel satisfied. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I switched to a BITO shaft, so I’m giving away the used one in excellent condition.
After reading the blog, they wanted the shaft too… but that’s for next time! \u266a <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s reassuring to check the shaft protrusion and other details with measurements just to be safe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I went ahead and changed the oil.

When changing the oil cooler, you must always attach a vibration damper. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The oil cooler hose layout is pretty standard, really.

Don’t you think they should sell bikes with this kind of reliable, understated layout? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The best approach is to keep it as far from the muffler as possible, allow flexibility in the layout, and make oil changes and removal\/installation easy.
So to avoid mistakes, I end up spending a lot of time thinking it through each time… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I swapped both left and right engine covers to Yoshimura ones.
I also relocated the oil pressure switch and kept it functional. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stem and fork got a complete overhaul. I’ve also restricted the handlebar turning angle so it locks properly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I overhauled the swingarm and welded the hook boss.

If you’re using a standard hook, please use a washer or something to space it out.
The BITO hook can be installed as-is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
