When you put a Yoshimura ST-1 in the oil-cooled 1200 series, it really does become normal, doesn’t it? <\/a>

The valve springs are shared with the GSX-R1100. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I hear the ST-1 is set up almost identically to the GSX-R1100.

Working backwards…

The GSX-R1100 cam was commonly adapted to the oil-cooled 1200.
=The cam sprocket can be installed as-is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And
the valve springs work as-is too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It might be a bit more potent…
People who’ve experienced the high-rpm sharpness of the ST-2 would think, wow, this engine revs that high…
But
removing the head = doing the top end is something you’d want to do.
=When you remove the cylinder, sand gets in.

This is what a high cam feels like! I think it would give you that kind of feel.
