I was patrolling to see if I had accumulated any points, and somehow I found that I could buy the Makita MAKITA Cordless Air Pump MP181D with points on Rakuten… If it’s free, I’ll buy it! \u266a

Is it small or big? Is it heavy or light?
Well, it depends on what you’re comparing it to.

Even if someone picks it up and says “Wow, that’s heavy!” or glances at it and says “Wow, that’s big!”…
I wonder if I’m the only one who thinks that…
The size feels like this: palm-sized, or about the size of a kettle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the power is on, the monitor and the front illumination LED light up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hose is pressure-resistant, but it’s a braided type that I’m not particularly fond of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the connection to the main unit were threaded and replaceable, it would have been much more expandable… I think it would also help with repairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The basic connection is for motorcycles and automobiles<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the side, there’s a bicycle attachment dangling from a chain.

By pressing the M button in the center repeatedly, you can change the units between PSI, BAR, and KPA.
Since I only use it for motorcycles and cars, I set it to KPA<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, if you hold down the M button, you can lower the pressure.
Once it drops one level, release the button and press it again to continue.

It won’t go down or up if you just hold it continuously. It’s quite convenient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Use +\/- to adjust the pressure display.

If you set the display to show a bit more than the pressure you usually inflate to, it’s easier to read.
When you’ve over-inflated, being able to see both the numbers and the display reduces mistakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s a pressure release button below the power switch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This only works when there’s pressure applied.
It’s not a vacuum pump-type pressure release feature.
*I think it works the same way as releasing air with a tire gauge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you squeeze the lever, it operates and air flows in. Release it and it stops immediately.
The on\/off switching is very responsive.
It’s the same feeling as using a regular compressor to inflate.

There’s no auto-off feature. You inflate as much as you want and then adjust.
The noise is loud because it’s creating compressed air, so it’s generally considered to be in the noisy category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also use it as a light air duster, but the power is weak if you think of it as a duster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When using it on a motorcycle, the straight nozzle is somewhat, or quite, a hassle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, since it’s a threaded connection,
when you insert it, air hisses out,
and when you remove it, air hisses out again.

You’ll need a separate air gauge for adjustment.
If you just need air in, you can account for the air that escapes on the display and inflate a bit more than needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think it’s convenient for people who just want to inflate with air.
Though the frequency of use might be quite low…

\u30fbPeople who replace or service tires and wheels themselves *such as studless tires
\u30fbPeople who take long drives in cars
\u30fbPeople who don’t need a full compressor but want to inflate before riding<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Personally, I find it convenient, but I think it’s a fairly niche item.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
