By 2030, it seems that cars and other vehicles won’t be manufacturing or selling gasoline vehicles anymore.
Plans are just plans, and who knows what will actually happen\u2014there are many challenges ahead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The question often comes up: what will happen to my bike?

In the end, I think it comes down to whether you’ll ride it or not.
If you think the costs will get too high, I’d say it’s better to sell it while you can. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I imagined some scenarios I’d really hate to see happen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

How much will gasoline cost? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As electricity becomes more widespread, the need for gasoline will decrease.
Supply and demand balance is constant.
If demand drops, price spikes and fewer gas stations are inevitable. Including your wallet, riding won’t be easy. It’s hard to imagine gas stations increasing beyond what we have now, so things will definitely get tougher. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gasoline vehicles could face higher taxes. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I don’t think this is very realistic, but it’s not impossible either.
If they impose taxes in any way, it will definitely be a burden, and just thinking about it makes me sick. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration and use prohibited in designated urban areas <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is probably unthinkable…
But if bikes were shut out based on manufacturing and registration dates, that would be really tough.

They’re not working vehicles either, and even if you add up all the bikes, there aren’t that many, so I don’t think it would happen… but if they wanted to ban bikes, this would be the way to do it!
Enjoying them in rural areas… like horseback riding… that’s rough. (\uff1b\u2200\uff1b) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keep in mind the supply period for OEM parts <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is the most important and the only thing within our control and imagination.

Stock up on parts you think you’ll need.
*However, if you don’t plan to keep riding, it’s not necessary at all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Think about how many more years you’ll ride your bike.
If you work backwards from your age and annual mileage, you can usually figure it out.
From here on, whether you struggle or thrive depends on you. Things that don’t exist in the world don’t exist, right? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can only imagine the future from the past <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We can only imagine what’s ahead based on the past.
And the present is already the past… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And whether the same things we’ve experienced will happen the same way in the future is something no one knows. Good or bad, it’s all just expectations.
So no matter how much we worry, we’re powerless against the government’s decisions\u2014we can only comply.

But stocking up on what you can do yourself is definitely reliable.
At minimum, you can sell it for what you paid, and sometimes even make a profit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abundant choices both past and future <\/h2>\n\n\n\n


From classic cars from the 1960s to monsters exceeding 200 horsepower, we can freely choose and enjoy them\u2014it’s a great time. I think this abundance is rare both in the past and future.
It’s better to focus on the positive aspects rather than the negative ones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With extreme weather becoming the norm these days.
