The exhaust pipe is stock!!!!

When people ask why I don’t change the muffler… I want to counter-ask why would you change it??

This is the iron bracket that comes with the new KATANA B-77.

Iron really is the way… iron. I want to reuse this one… it’s easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s quite an elaborate design, isn’t it?
I appreciate the effort they put into it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since it’s such a hassle, I’m taking a super shortcut on mine.

I’m welding washers onto stainless steel pipe to make it look like a collar.
It reduces grinding work and is eco-friendly, I think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then I finish it with a grinder and belt sander for that aggressive aesthetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once it’s cut and installed, it’s complete.

Since I’m lazy, I didn’t even paint it… that’s just how mine is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s installed, but… it looks pretty rushed.
I was eager to ride, so I twisted the throttle wide open and took it for a spin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“No bottom end and no top end” and “deafening noise”
Too much flow produces nothing… I only rode it twice.
I switched back to the stock muffler right away. In a way, I’m glad I didn’t spend time on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aftermarket parts aren’t always effective, so sometimes you need to make the decision to remove them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then back to that Lexus-like quiet whoosh sound.
It’s not tiring, but there’s also the fear that no one notices you exist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
