I hate to say it, but…
even if you make the oil cooler bigger, if you can’t direct the airflow efficiently across it, the effect will be minimal.

Realistically, when you factor in things like handlebar turning radius, it becomes extremely difficult…
The more you can raise it up and position it vertically, the better it should work! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think it’s easy to visualize how it creates wind resistance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is what the included soft mesh hose can achieve. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are various approaches, and I’m torn about which to choose. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s either keeping it as is or going with a custom modification…
I think the current plan is probably the best option…

Hose routing takes a lot of work, and you often end up buying failed fittings, so honestly it’s a pretty tough job. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m restoring the secondary air system to its original state. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I suspect it will probably be flagged during inspection in the near future.
A canceled system is absolutely not allowed. If you don’t have the part, you have no choice but to fabricate a custom one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now I’m wondering if there was even a need to cancel it at the source in the first place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since they’re still available, if you’ve canceled yours and don’t have the original part, it’s urgent to get one.
You can cancel at the valve side instead of at the source.

The real issue is removing the secondary air system altogether, so be careful.

Since the oil-cooled design makes it easy to spot from the outside whether the secondary air is present or not, I’m just trying to raise awareness.
