That’s it. When people ask “So?” it’s tough, but…

Constant power means you have to bolt it directly to the battery.
You know those people who bolt things to the battery like demons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basically you should avoid it\u2014it’s a source of trouble.
You can secure things that you’d want to bolt to the battery onto the D-UNIT+ instead.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When would you need it?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Constant power is needed for things like dash cams, clocks, and backup power.
Then there’s battery chargers and such.
Whether it’s okay to run those through D-UNIT+ is honestly unclear, so it might be best to avoid it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check the manual of the electrical component you want to use to see if it needs constant power, and choose accordingly.
D-UNIT+ is the safe bet, but it does have constant power coming in. There’s a risk of short circuit if the cover comes off and touches something, so keep that in mind.
