That’s really helpful.
They’re labeled for specific models, but basically if the dimensions match, you can adapt them.

Can you actually feel the difference when you swap shafts? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You’d really need to swap back and forth between stock and chromoly a few times to say for sure.

In my case, I did other work at the same time, so I can’t really say.
If I get the chance, I have a stock GSF1200 original too, so it might be fun to swap it and see if there’s any change. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isn’t the stock OEM already chromium-molybdenum steel (SCM material)? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I’m not a manufacturer, so I can’t say for sure, but…
I’d think they use decent material. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Better precision and finish is definitely a plus. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The clamp section is well machined and slides in smoothly
threading is smooth too
and it looks beautiful.

You might even feel a sense of increased rigidity.

With OEM parts going out of production, if you think yours is getting a bit worn, I’d say this is a solid option. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
