This Mikuni is a BS34, which is used on various motorcycles.
Kawasaki\/Yamaha\/Suzuki and so on\u2014the final specification was supposed to be the XJR1200 area with TPS. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That O-ring. 36Y-14147-00 <\/a> It’s not particularly cheap… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

O-rings are hard to measure ( \uff1b\u2200\uff1b) <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

So I measure the machined inner diameter with calipers and lock it in.
I thread it through the inner diameter side and feel the fit\u2014that’s the technique. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then I measure the wire diameter and can calculate the outer diameter. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you adapt it and problems arise, it’s at your own risk… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s no starter valve setting. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This one is a Z1000J-era part or so, but it’s still being supplied. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shape is slightly different, but it’s usable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The center seal has an expanded area with another step up\u2014wouldn’t that apply more surface pressure?

The groove shape where the arm engages is different, but the Katana is super loose, so it’s installable.
*You need to make sure the valve closes properly while assembling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
