There’s a part that comes across through feel. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n


With individual parts, there are things you can sense.
Heavy or light.
Hard or soft.
Smelly? Good smell? (Just kidding.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The common criteria I hear are
relative price, durability, situation, and reviews.
I think.

When you touch something, impressions and ideas spring up. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n


Before switching to aftermarket wheels, you lift them up, right? It might be something like that.
If you never even pick them up by hand and just put them on, it’s surprisingly…
Light! You feel… well, you get used to it. That’s kind of how it goes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re lucky, you could lose one or two kilos. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Just a heads up\u2014you’re not choosing them to make things lighter.
If you were torn between, say, brand B and brand D and couldn’t decide,
then weight becomes one more tool for making your choice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hehe… front and rear combined, I lost a whole kilo! That kind of thing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tire choice is hugely personal. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Most people say, “I only ride this brand.” It’s interesting, so I ask customers about their tires, but…


It’s all about personal preference, all about feel. Seriously. For real. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether the feel and sensation match or don’t match. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Motorcycle riders are stubborn.
Obstinate… you know.
But maybe because they have that sixth-sense kind of thing, they’ve managed to survive this long without incident. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe I should announce tire weights when the timing is right? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I think it would help with choices.
And wouldn’t it be cool to take full-size profile traces with a profile gauge? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They’re all the same size: 180\/55-17.

With narrower tires, there are actually many radials that are heavier than bias tires.
Some tires have an unbelievable amount of radial and lateral runout.

Not knowing this reality makes it really hard to fairly evaluate a tire, I think.
