Things have felt strange since early August\u2014how about you all? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The carburettor parts (Kawasaki) finally arrived, so I’m going to push ahead full steam. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Katana Final is already twenty years old now. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I can’t shake the feeling we were selling it just the other day.
If you keep a young heart even as you age, does that make you a nuisance? I’ve been thinking about that lately… (\uff1b\u2200\uff1b) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just the inside glass getting cloudy makes it look suddenly old-fashioned. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pretty soon parts are going to reach the end of their life, and we’ll hit an era where OEM parts just won’t cut it anymore.
Before we’re forced into the unattractive option of going with reproductions, it’s better to act now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bolt-on reinforcement on the back is in the way\u2014the carburettor won’t come out. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I have to remove the battery case too… I did give those hard-to-reach spots a no-touch cleaning while I was at it.

Finally done with the tapping… so happy! <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Let’s swap them out with reliable OEM parts while they’re still being supplied. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s why this mounting method never became mainstream. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Well, it’s a hassle. It’s not just remove and replace, so it’s a bit of a drag. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When L\/R comes to the top, it’s usually a pretty good position. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

That kind of thing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don’t see Katanas very often these days, so it’s a real help.
You might think it should be the same as the original, but old bikes have variations, so you always need to check.
