We have a tow truck anyway, and it&#8217;s a problem once it blows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A sealed compartment<\/strong>is what it usually is.<br>Where is it?<strong>Just knowing makes a difference.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Japanese bikes are great! There&#8217;s little to complain about with the electrical system.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Honestly,<strong>you rarely experience a blown fuse<\/strong>, do you?<br>When it does blow, it&#8217;s usually<strong>aftermarket parts that are the culprit<\/strong>, I think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But just in case something does happen,<strong>you should at least know<\/strong>where the fuse is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Even bikes with the worst access?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To access the fuse,<strong>you need tools?<\/strong>Some bikes<br>require you to remove this and that<strong>before you can get to it<\/strong><br>surprisingly<strong>common.<\/strong>I think it&#8217;s good to check the location once beforehand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Probably can&#8217;t remove the fuse.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In the worst case, a fuse that hasn&#8217;t been touched<\/strong>for over ten years<strong>is difficult to remove<\/strong>even by hand.<br>When the time comes,<strong>you don&#8217;t know where it is,<\/strong>and even if you can access it,<strong>you can&#8217;t remove it<\/strong>\u2014you can imagine such a situation, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can&#8217;t see it because of presbyopia?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A standard blade fuse would be visible,<strong>but mini or low-profile ones\u2014I wonder if you can see those<\/strong> . . .<br>That&#8217;s what I think.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Your chances of making it home increase<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you can replace the fuse,<strong>you might be able to ride home without waiting for a tow truck,<\/strong>or<strong>move to a safer location<\/strong>\u2014your chances improve.<br><br><strong>You won&#8217;t always break down on a sunny, pleasant, empty road.<\/strong><br><strong>If you stop in the Yamote Tunnel,<\/strong>it&#8217;s the worst.<strong>You&#8217;d do anything to get out.<\/strong> . . . .<br><br><strong>An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure\u2014<\/strong>that&#8217;s what the wise people of old used to say.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With older bikes, replace it first, and then you should know where it is.
