Before the friction material wears out, it tends to harden and slip, or stick.

When that happens, it’s friction material degradation, so replacing it will improve engagement and feel much better overall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The more you look at it, the more you see the ingenuity and design.
It applies tension from the back too, increasing contact pressure, and it seems to make the plates separate more easily when releasing the clutch.

That sounds good, but it’s actually a crush or crimp type.
I replace them every time and apply thread locker just to be safe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

GSF1200 and Inazuma 1200 have three; GS1200SS and Bandit 1200 have two.
Either way…
If you remove it as-is, it’ll strip. If you install it as-is, it won’t tighten.
Following the manual instructions doesn’t seem to work in reality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve had the experience of one different plate mixed in before.
Please inspect first, then do deburring and oil coating.
If you have to return it after processing, that’s embarrassing… I’d feel that way if I were you.

If you make something like this once, it’s basically good for life.

Fluorine enthusiast club. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It doesn’t attack rubber, has low resistance, and is smooth. And basically doesn’t dissolve\u2014meaning it stops oil.

It smooths the oil seal and doesn’t let oil through, so minor leaks should be less likely.
We seal it in spots where we don’t want seepage or leakage and where fluids shouldn’t mix.
It’s pricey grease, but if it reduces leak risk, it’s cheap\u2014dirt cheap. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Though if it leaks, you get repeat business, so maybe that’s better? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oil-cooled comes in two types\u2014only GSF1200 has two variants<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
