Depending on the application, we sometimes decide when to replace the brake disk based on both disk wear and pad wear.
When brake pad wear is high but brake disk wear is low, we often suggest waiting until this pad is used up.

If your brakes look like this image in city riding, watch out.
You might be dragging or using them chronically out of habit.

It might help to think objectively about your own riding style.

A common issue is rear brake overheating.
I use the rear quite a bit so it heats up easily, but some people do ask if it’s overheating. The rear is especially harsh because heat has nowhere to escape, so you need to be careful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
