As much as possible, you shouldn’t co-tighten it to the handlebar clamp.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Both appearance and serviceability are quite poor.
It’s a hassle, but by fabricating a custom bracket each time, I think it’ll look more authentic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve consolidated everything on the right side of the handlebar.

I think a clean, simple installation that minimizes parts count (including fasteners) and doesn’t compromise serviceability is the most user-friendly approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thinking about it this way, you realize how much you’ve been cutting corners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the way, the coolant temperature sensor does pick up a signal, at your own risk…
It’s subtly compact and good, so it could be useful elsewhere too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The OP S\/W PT KOSO requires an adapter for installation, so I’ve adapted it.
The case side is below the right pulse cover (‘\u03c9’)\u30ce

The bolt head had plenty of material, so I drilled it on a lathe and cut the threads. Since it protrudes forward, it might be difficult depending on the muffler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basically, you’re supposed to get the signal from a hole where oil pressure is present.
That said, the available holes are basically blind holes that were drilled during initial machining.
When that’s the case, your options shrink dramatically and sensor layout becomes constrained.

It’s surprisingly tedious to retrofit sensors like oil temperature and oil pressure later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you can already understand and manage your machine’s condition pretty well on your own, you probably don’t need it.
But there are situations where the temperature gets borderline.

Having one mounted for those times really boosts your peace of mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yoshimura is the way to go.<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hey! You’re using KOSO yourself!
I don’t plan to keep this gauge for long, so I went with something affordable and compact.
KOSO isn’t bad, but from a brand and status perspective, I think choosing Yoshimura would be the better call (*\u00b4\u0437`)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
