Ever since I bought the Inazuma 1200 this year, I’ve been riding it like crazy (*’\u25bd’)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Maybe it’s the rebound from COVID, or something like that.
And the Inazuma 1200\u2014well, it’s a bit lacking, or rather quite a bit lacking\u2014but that oil-cooled 1200 is actually what makes it interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But now that I’m riding it, I realize…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motorcycles sure do cost a lot of money ( \uff1b\u2200\uff1b)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I went to an exhibition and had some photos taken~<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Just the gear alone is a hassle…(*\u00b4\u0437`)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Helmet, jacket, gloves, and boots are the bare minimum.
Once you start getting into things like balaclavas and arm covers, it gets really complicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isn’t it nice to have gear that looks cool and lasts a long time?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting sidetracked here…<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Choosing luggage for riding a motorcycle is surprisingly tricky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A waist pouch is a bit scary for me.
I get this constant anxiety about whether I actually zipped it closed.

So it’s either a tank bag or a backpack. Maybe pockets after that…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But lately I’ve been doing photo shoots, so I’m like an old guy carrying a ton of stuff\u2014power banks, cables, and all that\u2014including Gatsby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gas prices are insanely high (*\u00b4\u0437`)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The recent price hikes are ridiculous.
Highway tolls are the same, but with ETC you don’t feel the pain as much…

And with gas on a card, you don’t feel it either…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you think about it, I’m actually spending quite a bit of money…
Each outing costs about 3,000 yen (gas, highway tolls, Starbucks?).
But I think it’s worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hot in summer, cold in winter. It’s a harsh machine.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

But lately, the hardships I don’t usually feel have turned into something I can enjoy and experience.
Fire up the engine, slip it into first, engage the clutch, and adventure?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I ride after a long time, I remember a lot of things.
I need to make sure I don’t end up with a headline like “middle-aged rider can’t lean into corners”…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
