It looks a bit small, like a 400, but don’t underestimate it\u2014this thing is fast! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before inspection, we’re doing some minor replacements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

You could actually make these three spots adjustable with slots if you wanted.
Back in the day, I went crazy with slots on a GSF and got the top spinning around\u2014that kind of thing.
*Be careful not to overdo it.
Fundamentally it’s about balance, so finding a setup that works perfectly everywhere is tricky. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GSF1200 version fits right on (*\u00b4\u03c9\uff40*) That’s Suzuki for you\u2014bikes from when they were still praised. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Effective against low-sides! Effective against being knocked over! <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ugly? Not ugly? Either way, it’s smart to install it first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I prep the threads so they go in smoothly. The disc is off, so applying Plexus should keep it cleaner, probably?

I hate precoated threadlocker (*\u00b4\u0437`) <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When you tighten it, isn’t it super stiff? You worry\u2014will it come apart next time? And sometimes it locks up so hard that I just remove it all.
I prefer to apply just a little high-strength locker on the top of the bolt.


Applying it on top is rare, but if a bolt ever breaks or seizes, it’s easier to extract. As long as it’s tightened properly, these spots basically never loosen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking at it now, 8 spokes actually looks cooler.

You’d think the pins are solid, but they’re not. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The pins and even the washers are lightened with cutouts\u2014lots of effort.
Made with the desire to save every gram. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

E-clips won’t fly off under centrifugal force\u2014thoughtful design (*\u00b4\u0437`) <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When the baseline is this high, you can use it with confidence. Brakes are important, after all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brake pads are RK-MAX sintered metal. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The price-to-performance ratio is excellent for street use.
There are several other pad options if you need more, so choose accordingly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are barely any burrs\u2014nothing to do ( \uff1b\u2200\uff1b) I washed the caliper too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
