Ground down the axle shaft for the puller.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Since there’s a ball bearing up front, a standard puller won’t catch.
Ground down the outer diameter of a spare (junk) axle shaft and turned it into a powerful knockout tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I want to transfer 100% of the impact force.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Watch out\u2014don’t use the box for press-fit spacers.(\u00b4\u03c1`)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you had a spacer that fit snugly inside the bore and could be struck firmly on the outer diameter, anyone could press it in reliably.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think it’s better to avoid press-fitting with a box in general.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When a job requires a trick, risk is involved.
There are definitely parts that need tricks, but not every step needs to be tricky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I got fancy with the brake hose fittings and the manufacturer is out of stock.( \uff1b\u2200\uff1b)
