First, it’s good to check the manual and see what it specifies.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The manual isn’t all-knowing, so take it as a reference.
Once you know what RPM it recommends, you can try adjusting it yourself.

Low RPM means low oil pressure (; \uff65`\u0434\uff65\u00b4)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The upper limit of oil pressure is set because it bleeds off, but low RPM still means low pressure. (Not a problem level, but still.)

However, engines that maintain stable oil pressure tend to be in better condition.
On the first engine start, you want to rev it up to around 1500\u20132000 RPM and get good oil pressure flowing all the way to the head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I adjust the idle pretty often (\u30fb\u00b4\u0437`\u30fb)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The idle screw itself is pretty loose\u2014it doesn’t stay put or stay the same.
It’s always shifting slightly.
It can even change a bit with the seasons, so if you have a carb bike, keep it accessible for adjustments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The engine sounds good\u2014that’s a plus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Rather than running at a RPM so low it sounds like it’s about to stall,
a nice, smooth engine sound\u2014that’s what the engine wants too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1000 RPM\u2014it’s not just because it’s a round number. If you tune it by feel, listening to the engine, it becomes truly yours.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
