Well, here’s a beautiful GSX750E3. To be honest, I’m not very familiar with the GSX line (*\u00b4\uff1b\u03c9\uff1b`*)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discontinued parts are all over the place! Before I start work, I do cross my fingers, but…

There’s a cap bolt in here that I don’t remember ordering? What’s going on…

Looking at the parts list…seriously? A typo?

This is the condition…
We usually replace studs, but miraculously we had stock~amazing<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m disassembling it thoroughly, max style (*^-^*)

It’s pretty nicely dirty. The diaphragm of this anti-nose dive itself is at its limit and fluid is leaking out lately.
Removal is definitely the better option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The surface is buffed, but the hidden spots are rough…should I leave it as is or clean it up? I was torn, thinking maybe I could buff it later anyway, so I forced a thorough cleaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s how it is.
It gets clean quickly with some elbow grease, but buffing gets dull fast, so leaving it as is keeps it looking good longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inner tube runout wasn’t a problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you insert the stud, the seating surface lifts, so chamfering it first makes things smooth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We polish and finish the inner tube to make it move smoothly\u2014that means less leaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Left is front, right is rear.

When it’s shiny, the seal seems to stick, but when you hone it, the seal action feels smoother. It’s like a dimple effect, you could say.
That’s the kind of thing we’re going for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cylinder bolts should be replaced while they’re still accessible\u2014that’s a must.

These ones are still okay, but bolts that are in the flow path are a real pain…
By the way, it’s M10-P1.00 (*\u00b4\u03c9\uff40*)\u2014like a bicycle! (*laughs*)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oil seal 51153-45420 is discontinued, so I thought maybe a Honda one would work, but the overall thickness was too great and it didn’t fit ( \uff1b\u2200\uff1b)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So for now I’ve done a temporary assembly and put it on hold…..Things just aren’t going well…really.
