Brakes, mufflers, and wheels are my top three favorite parts.

Because you can reuse them even when you swap bikes ( \uff9f\u0414\uff9f)
Especially this titanium insert-type muffler is excellent. It doesn’t seize and the attachment and detachment are smooth.

But back in the day, racing mufflers had a structure where the exhaust pipe would just fall right off.
That was pretty terrible, and now you know why you don’t see them anymore (‘;’) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Someone asked me about a Bonne pipe on Yahoo Auctions and it got me thinking (‘\u03c9’)\u30ce <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Whether the same material or different materials, it’s tough <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For example, a real banana pipe uses iron-to-iron insertion.
Being able to pull it in and out means there’s play.
Even if you push hard in the 100-meter range on a spot exposed to this much heat and vibration, it just won’t go in anymore, so you have to maintain generous clearance.
With that much play at the tip of such a long muffler, vibration naturally causes the insertion to loosen over time.
Both the exhaust pipe side and the flange side become loose and rattly, so it’s essentially a consumable part. Actually, it’s definitely a consumable part. . . .
Of course it’s sucking in secondary air like crazy, so the carburetor setting can become unstable too. Does your idle suddenly jump up? Doesn’t that happen to you . . . . <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pipes like the Bonne are in a pretty tough situation\u2014the flange side is aluminum while the exhaust pipe is titanium.

Of course, if you make the tolerances tight, insertion and removal become difficult.
If you make it loose, the flange side (aluminum) has a short lifespan. The one saving grace might be that the exhaust pipe side (titanium) doesn’t wear down as easily.

I loved this Bonne pipe so much that I once owned as many as three of them.
But the aluminum flanges that came with them all wore down and became consumables; eventually I made one from SUS304, but that didn’t feel quite right either. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Connected with the same material and excellent serviceability <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Truly the final form.
Four springs make it easy to remove.
It’s the same material and laid out in a position that’s easy to pull out (*’\u03c9’*)
*Attachment and detachment are possible only in the up-and-down direction with serviceability in mind. You can’t do that with exhaust pipe insertion.
And there’s no worry about scratching the frame’s under-tube.

You can remove the muffler anytime, anywhere\u2014if you’re not careful, even in a parking lot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s what racing parts should really be about . . . . I was just looking at the muffler and thinking . .
I feel like the ultimate hand-bent form can’t be anything other than this muffler \uff08\u00b4\u2200\uff40*\uff09\uff73\uff8c\uff8c <\/p>\n\n\n\n
